PEOPLE are being asked to help name a new street in Cleckheaton as part of a housing development in the town.
The development is on land at the former Cleckheaton Mills site, Bradford Road, Cleckheaton.
The latest plans for the former industrial site were granted in 2019 for 114 homes to be built.
Suggestions should not duplicate or closely resemble existing street names in the area.
Streets are also not generally named after people who are living or those who resided in the area in the recent past.
Preference is often given to names with local connections.
Any suggested names for the street can be sent to Kirklees Council via email on: street.naming@kirklees.gov.uk
Or by calling: 01484 221550.
The deadline is Tuesday, August 1, 2023.
