A ROAD is partially closed today so a derelict pub building can be secured.
The former Springfield Hotel on Market Street, Thornton, is being secured by Bradford Council’s building control team and has been described as a "dangerous building".
A Council spokesman said water ingress over time has caused the pub’s roof to fail.
The building control team made the decision to take emergency measures to close the nearby footpath and road so remedial works can be carried out.
Please be aware that the one way system on Market Street, Thornton is currently partially closed and a diversion is in place via Bronte Place.
