LOCAL members of the Brothers on Bikes cycling club are hosting a national event in Yorkshire this weekend.
The aim of the event is to increase participation from the BAME community and to actively promote diversity.
A number of local cycling clubs are also taking part, including Bradford, Airedale Olympic and Bingley Millgate.
The ride starts at Craven College in Skipton on Sunday, July 16, and is expected to involve around 200 riders from the across the UK.
They will be heading out into the Yorkshire Dales, taking in the area’s picturesque views and steep inclines.
Three routes - long, medium and short - will be on offer to help cater for all abilities with the long route taking in Malham Cove, Arncliffe, Burnsall and Bardon Moor ascents.
One of the organisers, Altaf Hussain said: “It’s been six months in the planning with support from a number of local businesses to help make it a success.”
A breakfast and a post ride meal will also be provided where riders can network and share their experience of riding in the Yorkshire Dales.
There will also be prizes handed out on the day, which have been provided by local business, With the support of local business, there are prizes from 68Apparel, Vintage Pave Cycles and OTE.
