NORTH Parade is hosting a “welcome back bash” later this month after the street has been a construction site for much of the year.
Work on the £2m Top of Town development was recently completed, and has seen new, wider pavements and reduced car parking on the street – home to numerous independent bars.
There will be an event to mark the work being completed on Saturday July 22.
There will be outdoor food, including a BBQ, drink and entertainment from noon until 8pm, and there will be an early evening set from DeeJay AJ.
After 8pm the event will continue in the street’s different bars.
It has also been announced that this year’s North Parade Street Party will take place on Sunday August 27.
The “Top of Town” works were intended to make the area more pleasant for visitors, reduce traffic, and to create more space for bars and businesses.
