A MAN who was caught in possession of a knife has now been jailed after breaching a community order.
Paul Tate, 33, was made subject to a community order in May 2022, relating to an incident which took place on November 22, 2021.
At the time, Tate, of Thornes Park, Brighouse, was ordered to complete a drug rehabilitation requirement as part of the order.
He admitted failing to comply with the community order by not attending DRR appointments on three occasions in April, when he appeared at Kirklees Magistrates on June 19.
Magistrates resentenced Tate for the original possession of a knife offence, jailing him for 12 weeks in total.
They took into account the seriousness of the offence, his record of previous similar offences, as well as the “wilful and persistent” breaches of this order.
