A GALA will take place this weekend in a village between Bradford and Halifax.

The event will run in Shelf Hall Park on Saturday, July 1.

Performing a mix of songs from the fifties to the nineties, live music is to be provided by the Psychoslinkys.

ID Academy of Performing Arts, Magpie Movers, and the Bradford South Queensbury Scout Group will all be in the arena.

The procession will leave at 12.15pm from Bethel Chapel and travel via Halifax Road to arrive at the gala field between 12.45pm and 1pm.

There will be a tea tent, stalls, a beer tent, food outlets, a fun fair, display of vintage army vehicles, and a five-a-side football competition.

Entrance is via wristbands; these can be pre-purchased to avoid queues on the day (from pubs, schools, businesses and clubs in the village of Shelf) or you can purchase them on the day.

Due to accessibility issues on Bridle Stile, this will not be used for entry this year, the entrance this year will be from the Village Hall area of the park. Gates open at 11.30am.

Prices for the wristbands are Children (£1), Adults (£2), and five and under go free.
