The rail line between Shipley and Bradford Forster Square welcomed a rare visitor over the weekend in the form of a special train hauled by heritage diesel locomotives.
A Class 50 locomotive, built in 1968 at the Vulcan Foundry in Newton-le-Willows, led the train as it blasted through Frizinghall on Sunday morning.
The loco, 50008 'Thunderer', marked a rare visit for its class to Forster Square, as the Class 50s were usually used in the Western Region around Devon and Cornwall.
On the return from Forster Square, hooting loudly through Frizinghall, the train was led by 37418, named 'An Comunn Gaidhealach' and sporting BR Large Logo blue livery.
The train, originating in Derby, was taking rail enthusiasts to the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway Diesel Gala.
