A “top secret” jazz club is being held at Bradford Cathedral during the Bradford Literature Festival - and will only be accessible if you have both a ticket *and* the event password.
A representative of Bradford Cathedral confirmed that the Cathedral was booked for a ticketed event, from 7-10pm on Wednesday June 28.
Tickets are £7 online but are only £5 face to face if you know the four “top-secret” places that sell them.
The ‘Bradfordian Speakeasy’ which goes by the name of “Poetry Club 2” has no announced line up.
Award winning Bradford Poet Sharena Lee Satti, who performed at last year’s event, said “I’m afraid I can’t tell you who is performing at this year’s Bradfords Best Kept Secret event. Because if I did, it wouldn’t be a secret.”
Venues that “denied involvement” include Waterstones and North Parade bar Boar and Fable.
Bradford Literature Festival and Bradford 2025 also remained tight lipped.
Charlotte, who organises the Bradford Music Scene gig listing confirmed that this year’s event was not included in their usually comprehensive list of events and gigs for June, before adding “But then, we didn’t list last year’s event either…”
