LATEST VIDEO: WATCH: Popular reviewer tries 'cheapest kebab around' and it's from Bradford
A POPULAR YouTuber rated pizza from a Bradford spot as the best he's ever had in the UK.
For the latest video on RateMyTakeaway, which boasts more than 600,000 YouTube subscribers, Danny Malin visited Pizza Pieces on Market Street in the city centre.
This pizzeria has been a part of Bradford for over 30 years and is a family-run venture by Napoli-born owner Antonio Barbiero, who came across to England at the young age of 16.
Malin ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza and garlic bread, a portion of spicy chicken pasta, and his favourite Tiramisu for dessert.
After paying a grand total of £12.15 for the food, the reviewer had high hopes as he put up his camping chair and table outside the restaurant.
Malin was impressed most with the pizza and said it rivalled what he'd eaten in New York.
"This is the best pizza I have ever had in the UK," he said.
"I have been to Italy and eating this is taking me there right now.
"That is a nice slice. It is rivalling New York.
"The big pieces of pepperoni sausage are nice and thick. It gives it texture as well as flavour.
"A solid 10 without a matter of doubt. It is just beautiful."
Tasting the garlic bread was next up on the agenda.
"This is feel-good food," Malin added.
"A nice thin and crispy base. The soft cheese and butter make it phenomenal."
Having been told about the quality of pasta on offer, Malin was keen to try the spicy chicken smothered in tomato sauce.
He said: "When you first put it in your mouth it is simple then all the flavours combine and you start to get that spice from the chicken.
"The taste of the tomato sauce too. It is delicious."
Finally, Malin tasted the Tiramisu, adding: "You get a great portion and it has that beautiful coffee taste to it. That is amazing.
"I can't complain. I have really enjoyed this."
Malin travels the UK trying to find the best and worst takeaways.
In recent years, he has visited venues across the Bradford district and the areas surrounding it.
Great Horton Road's Wing Heist, Lala's in Pudsey, the Sweet Centre Restaurant on Lumb Lane, Phatboyz in Thornton, and Moons on Leeds Road have all been put under the watchful eye of the man behind RateMyTakeaway.
