A BRASS band that has played at the Glastonbury Festival is returning to Bradford Cathedral for a Christmas concert.
Black Dyke Band will play at the city’s cathedral on Saturday, December 9, and are set to perform festive favourites including O Come All Ye Faithful, Ding! Dong! Merrily On High, and Away in a Manger.
This year’s concert will see the Black Dyke Band, conducted by Professor Nicholas Childs, performing in the nave, so people will be able to get up close with the prestigious brass band, who were founded locally in Queensbury and have gone on to perform across the world and win numerous awards.
Black Dyke Band performed on the Pyramid Stage at last year’s Glastonbury Festival.
Tickets for this concert are on sale now, with early bird discounts available until the end of July, with tickets for under-18s only £3 (£5 afterwards). There will be a bar, selling a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, open from doors to the start of the concert, and during the interval.
The Black Dyke Band and Bradford Cathedral Choir Christmas Concert takes place in Bradford Cathedral on Saturday, December 9 at 7pm (doors 6pm). Tickets can be booked now at black-dyke-band.eventbrite.co.uk or by calling the Cathedral office on 01274 77 77 20 (Mon – Fri, 9am – 2:45pm)
