LEEDS Bradford Airport (LBA) has announced a new partnership with leisure airline SunExpress to boost the number of routes to Turkey in 2024.

SunExpress, a joint venture of Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines, will operate its inaugural flight from LBA to Antalya in March 2024. The airline will offer three weekly flights to Antalya throughout the summer season.

SunExpress has put its largest route and network expansion in the UK in place this summer.

Nicola McMullen, aviation director at LBA, said: “It’s fantastic to welcome SunExpress as the latest airline to LBA.

“This multiple award-winning carrier will provide our new and returning customers with more access to Turkey and its popular resorts, something we’re sure holidaymakers from across the region will welcome.”

SunExpress has received a variety of awards over the last five years, including being named the 'World's Best Leisure Airline' in the latest global survey by Skytrax.
