Father's Day can bring back waves of grief for thousands of people who have lost the man they've looked up to their whole lives.
This year, we asked T&A readers, who've lost their fathers to pay their loving tributes on this day.
The first is always the hardest: these tributes have been paid by Bradfordians who are going through their first Father's Day without their dad:
Helen Loftus, who's celebrating her first Father's Day without him shared this special message: "The first Father's Day without you Dad. 💔 A fantastic dad to Helen & Emma. We miss you so much. Not a day goes by that you're not in our thoughts. We love you so so much x x Kevin Thomas Leng forever in our hearts x x."
Debra Hutchinson, said: "First Father’s Day without you we miss you with all our hearts your heartbroken family x."
These people have paid tributes to their dads.
Hayley Baldwin, said: "Colin Brigg wasn't just any bloke he was my step dad, he thought me so much, I miss you so much Colin, life is not the same without you.. Happy fathers day, I love and miss you every day. Xxxx"
Natalie Biggs, said: "When my Dad passed away suddenly in 2017 I lost not only my Dad but a friend.
"He was the best Dad ever who always had the right words to say.
"I miss his laugh and his jokes and just him being there for me.
"I wish I could have had more time with him and will be lighting a candle for him this Fathers Day."
Samantha Haw, paid this tribute: "Happy heavenly Father's Day dad love and miss u everyday forever in our hearts xxxxxxxxxx Love from Angela,Denise,Judith,Adrian,Jackie,Sammy ,Late Michael and Sarah."
Debra Fuller, said: "Happy Fathers Day to my special Dad miss you always.💖💔"
Sheree Hardaker, shared this message: "Father's Day gets harder every year without you here , I miss your smile and your hugs love u forever 💓."
