THE opening date for a new restaurant in Bradford city centre has been confirmed. 

SakkuSamba, a restaurant concept by Estabulo, will serve up Brazilian-Japanese fusion dishes.

From noodles and sushi to grilled meats, the ‘immersive dining concept’ will offer seating for more than 300 people.

Brazil is home to the largest Japanese population outside of Japan.

Announcing the restaurant's opening on social media, a spokesperson for The Broadway said SakkuSamba restaurant will be open to walk in's from June 14.

SakkuSamba is now set to open its doors on June 21 due to technical issues out of its control, a spokesperson confirmed.

Estabulo announced it would be opening its first Bradford chain in early 2020, shortly before the pandemic shut down businesses across the country.

The company said its new concept proved so popular in Manchester that it led to a change in the plans for the Bradford restaurant.

Speaking previously, Zak Isaak, director at SakkuSamba, said: "The success of this new concept is what led us to change our plans here in Bradford.

“As a business, we are constantly evolving to bring fresh ideas and concepts to the table. That's exactly what we want to do here in Bradford - bring something totally new and exciting to the city."
