A NEW retirement living development has been completed in Bingley, with 59 one and two-bedroom apartments.
The over 55s development, called The Chimes, is by Anchor, the not-for-profit provider of housing and care for people in later life.
The Chimes on Keighley Road was developed in partnership with McCarthy Stone and provides a mix of affordable rented and shared ownership properties.
Residents will be able to move in from this summer with the development’s communal facilities including a café, beauty salon and landscaped gardens.
It will also offer Anchor’s award-winning Be Well 360 service which supports residents to live a healthy, active, and connected lifestyle.
Jason Protheroe, head of construction at Anchor, said: “The completion of The Chimes marks an exciting step for Anchor, aligning with our target to provide 5,700 new homes in the next 10 years.
“This development, located in the friendly town of Bingley, will provide quality homes for older people while fostering an open and inviting community.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming residents and continuing to provide places where they can love living in later life.”
Anchor is England’s largest provider of specialist housing and care for those in later life.
