A new line-up of filmmakers has been announced as the team behind Drunken Film Fest Bradford (DFFB).
Up-and-coming filmmakers Josiah Eames, Sam Robinson, and Cat Dobson will continue the festival’s legacy of bringing free screenings to Bradford since 2016.
The trio, all recent graduates of the film and TV programme at the University of Bradford, hope people will get drunk on film and conversation.
Festival founder Jax Griffin will be staying on as festival advisor while the new festival management will be supported by a volunteer team.
The director said: “It’s time to breathe new life into DFFB. When they approached me about taking over management, it really was serendipitous.
“I know they have the skills needed to continue making the festival a success, probably an even greater one.”
"The festival will return this year with the same attention to quality and artistry, we can't wait to share new, fascinating film experiences with the people of Bradford,” said Josiah.
The Drunken Film Fest Bradford will return later in 2023, including The Record Café and Theatre in the Mill.
Submissions are now open for the festival and local filmmakers are encouraged to send their work to Film Freeway via filmfreeway.com/drunkenfilmfestbradford
