A BRADFORD Post Office is still closed after a fire ripped through the building six months ago.
The Gaythorne Road branch in West Bowling has been closed since November 22 last year after suffering extensive damage in the blaze.
The site needs to be refurbished and there is no date for when it will open its doors again.
Crews from across West Yorkshire rushed to the scene on the evening of November 21 and remained there until the following day.
Following an investigation led by West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service, the fire was ruled as non-suspicious.
At the time, a spokesperson for the Post Office said: “We’re very sorry to confirm that a fire at West Bowling Post Office has resulted in extensive damage.
“We are in close contact with the Postmaster that operates the branch which is likely to be closed for several weeks."
In an update to the Telegraph & Argus, the Post Office said: “We are supporting the Postmaster at West Bowling after the fire in November.
"We know how important a Post Office is to a community and we are working hard to restore service to the community as soon as possible.
"A refurbishment will need to take place."
People are recommended to use the Holme Top or Bankfoot branches.
