Britannia Care
There has been a double celebration this month at Britannia Care. Along with the rest of the country, staff and residents at Britannia Care wholeheartedly joined in the coronation celebrations as Charles was crowned King Charles III, while the residents enjoyed the visit of the Lord Mayor of Bradford councillor Martin Love.
This was the first time the UK public – and the watching world beyond these shores - had witnessed a coronation since the late Queen’s ascent to the throne in 1953, and all at Britannia Care were keen to both watch and celebrate this historic occasion.
Britannia Care residents were able to fully immerse themselves in the coronation celebrations thanks to the hard work and planning by Britannia Care’s highly motivated and dedicated staff, who ensured that Britannia Care Home was decorated throughout and that there was plenty of opportunity to view the procession and ceremony, with food and drink close to hand.
Mr Choudhry Inayat Khan, founder, and director of Britannia Care, said: “I, and all staff and residents, were keen to play a small part in this historic royal occasion. Last year we celebrated the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, and we marked the passing of the Queen too.
“It was right and fitting that we should celebrate this momentous occasion, the crowning of our new king, King Charles III. Bradford was one of the first places in England the King visited after the Queen died.”
Councillor Martin Love, Lord Mayor of Bradford, was on hand to greet the King when he visited in November, and the Lord Mayor was the guest of honour during a recent visit to Britannia Care. During his visit the Lord Mayor present certificates of qualifications and achievements to members of staff.
Fellow Britannia Care director, Anis Khan, said: “We have, over 30 years, seen our unique approach evolve and become the cornerstone of our strength and success.
“The Lord Mayor is First Citizen of Bradford and part of his remit is to visit people who are doing good work, who are committed to excellence and promoting high standards, so we are delighted that the Lord Mayor recognises and acknowledges the work we do at Britannia Care.
“A visit by the Lord Mayor is uplifting for all of us at Britannia Care."
As Britannia Care is a purpose-built facility they were able to include in the design important elements essential to providing high quality care, such as lift access to all floors and corridors wide enough to accommodate supportive aids, all of which ensures residents have a place they can call their own.
The Britannia Care’s multilingual staff have a long history of providing care to the area’s multicultural community, with over 30 years of experience, knowledge and understanding in providing expert care to a diverse clientele.
Britannia Care manager Nina Butor : “As well as priding ourselves on the facilities, activities and the level of care provided by Britannia Care’s highly trained staff, we also pride ourselves on being very approachable, ensuring that there will be a member of staff who you can talk to, who is only too happy to guide you through all you need to know about placing a loved one in Britannia’s care.”
If you need to speak to Britannia Care about a loved one, please contact Britannia Care manager Nina Butor on: 01274 494 847.
