A BRADFORD man must pay over £1,000 to the courts after being caught littering by leaving a TV on the street.
Ludovit Konev, 50, was fined recently by Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court over the incident on Kingswood Street in Bradford.
He was charged with depositing litter on or before July 4, 2022, at Kingswood Street, by leaving a flat screen television on the highway.
This was against the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
At a hearing on May 4, at the court, the charge was proved in Konev’s absence.
Konev, of Kingswood Street, Bradford, was fined £440, and must pay costs of £475 as well as a surcharge of £176 to fund victim services – this means a total of £1,091 to pay to the courts.
