Greggs' first drive-thru in West Yorkshire is proving to be a hit with those looking for a speedy on-the-go boost.
After a productive morning at the Telegraph & Argus, reporter Natasha Meek was joined by Razia Kiyani to try out one of Bradford's newest food offerings.
The new drive-thru on Rooley Lane serves up all the Greggs favourites, including its sausage rolls, steak bakes and vegan alternatives, as well as sweet treats, sandwiches, and hot snacks.
The long-awaited drive-thru, open daily from 7am to 10pm, has already seen a steady flow of trade on its first day.
Inside the kitchen, staff could be seen replenishing the ovens with fresh pizzas and swiftly taking people's orders.
Manager Margaret Leslie, whose go-to Greggs is the cheese and onion pasty, said: "So far the drive-thru seems to be going really well. We've been quite busy. We've tried the drive-thru ourselves and since then it's absolutely flying.
"We're just really excited to have this offer in the Bradford area."
Friends Hafsah Hussain, Liya Begum, and Saniya Ali headed up to the drive-thru on their lunch break.
Hafsah, who ordered potato wedges, a tuna crunch baguette, and pizza, said: "It was all perfect, everything's nice."
What's it like?
Rolling into the spacious drive-thru, we were on a mission to get the perfect haul with a mix of savoury options, a hot drink, and obligatory sweet treat.
The slick and clear intercom system connected us to a lovely member of staff who took down our huge order in seconds.
I drove over to the window to pick up our selection - including sausage rolls, a steak bake, a pack of yum yums, and two hot chocolates.
The order came to just over £15.
It was easy to pay as I scanned my card on the contactless reader.
The car park is spacious, perfect for those who want to indulge in a calming moment before heading back out on the hectic roads.
The on-site bakery looks great, offering comfy seats and sturdy tables for those who want to pull up with a laptop or eat in bigger groups.
Razia said: "The Greggs drive thru experience was something I really enjoyed. Greggs is my go-to spot for lunch and their vegan sausage rolls get me through long hard days at university. Their hot chocolates are also one of my favourites, I love having them whilst I’m waiting for my bus on cold winter days.
"I’m looking forwards to enjoying some of their goodies in the new outdoor seating in the summer too. The service is always amazing and I’m excited to visit the new drive-thru with my friends and family once I get a car."
