A CORONATION-themed display adorning a post box in a Bradford community has caught the attention of local residents.
Idle resident John Walmsley noticed a knitted display featuring mice dancing around a Maypole with a crown at its centre on top of a post box when he was out in Thackley.
He was impressed by the handiwork, saying: "This display is on the letter box outside Joseph Wright Court in Thackley on Leeds Road.
"It’s beautifully made by one of the ladies there and so topical.
"I just love it when people are creative."
Charlotte Gatenby, manager of the Joseph Wright Court independent living scheme, said: "It's been made by a lady who lives in the flats here.
"She's got an amazing talent and it's nice that she shares it with the community.
"It seems to have taken off as she's knitted a post box display at Christmas too.
"She does it to raise money for Guide Dogs charities.
"It's something that is close to her heart.
"She watched the Queen's Coronation years ago, so she's looking forward to watching this one.
