A BUSINESS that offers a one-stop shop to pampered pooches is looking to expand further in the future.
The Hound Ville runs two sites with grooming spa salons in East Bierley and Brighouse, with a third location planned for later this year.
The Brighouse site also features a dog bakery, which offers sweet treats for owner’s pets.
The site makes a host of dog-friendly dishes, containing only natural ingredients, including quiches and bakes such as bourbon biscuits, pupcorn and doughnuts. Other treats include a fresh peanut butter and gravy bone cake.
Some of the treatments on offer at the luxury spa for owner’s four-legged friends include mud spa and ‘pawdicures’, facials and paw balms.
Its Brighouse shop, based on Huddersfield Road, offers a selection of dog products including harnesses, leads, top-end coats, grooming products and toys. The East Bierley location is on South View Road. The business also bakes birthday cakes for dogs.
The Hound Ville also runs dog walking around Birkenshaw, Cleckheaton, Brighouse, Birstall and surrounding areas.
It is the brainchild of Hannah Butcher, 29, chief executive, who opened the business in 2020.
She says she has plans to open a third location, at an unconfirmed site, later this year.
Hannah said: “I have started this business from nothing. I have put everything into this.
“I just love what I do. The business is doing well at the moment. We’re really, really busy. We have two salons and we do really well and have more than 150 five-star reviews on Facebook.
“We get lots of recommendations, which is a good thing. We’re just renovating the shop at Brighouse at the moment.
“The staff are fantastic. I could not ask for a better team.
“We do a lot of quirky things like report cards for dogs that come to the salon. We give them puppy certificates too.
“We get notified when it’s our client’s dog’s birthday and we send them a cupcake.
“I want to potentially franchise it in the future.
“All of our bakes are dog friendly and have fruit in them which is good for dogs.”
The business has also received accolades including being named as the dog groomers of the year 2022/23 at the Yorkshire Prestige Awards.
Both of The Hound Ville’s East Bierley site is open Tuesday to Saturday between 9am and 5.30pm, while its Brighouse location is open every Tuesday to Saturday from 8.30am to 5.30pm.
