This hard-hitting photo shows just some of the knives handed into police as part of a five-day amnesty in Bradford.
West Yorkshire Police's knife bin at Trafalgar House Police Station will remain in place until 8pm on Friday.
It comes after new legislation means people are committing an offence if they carry 20 different types of weapons - including knuckledusters, zombie knives and shurikens.
Police have urged more people to put down their knives and help purge the streets of bladed weapons.
What new legislation means for you
People would be committing an offence if they have any of the following weapons in private and in public:
- Knuckleduster
- Kusari gama
- Swordstick
- Handclaw
- Kyoketsu shoge
- Belt buckle knife
- Manrikigusari or kusari
- Disguised knife
- Push dagger
- Hollow kubotan
- Stealth knife
- Straight, side-handled or friction-lock truncheon/baton
- Footclaw
- Shuriken, shaken or death star
- Sword with a curved blade of 50 centimetres or over in length
- Balisong or butterfly knife
- Telescopic truncheon
- Zombie knife
- Cyclone or spiral knife
- Blowpipe or blow gun
