A SCHOOLGIRL has been hospitalised after suffering serious injuries in a crash this afternoon (Monday, April 24).
Emergency services were scrambled to the scene of a collision between a car and a child pedestrian just after 3pm today on Keighley Road, Denholme.
A spokesperson for the Yorkshire Ambulance Service said: "We received an emergency call at 3.08pm this afternoon to reports of a schoolgirl knocked down on Keighley Road in the Denholme area of Bradford.
"An ambulance was dispatched to the scene and the patient was conveyed to Airedale Hospital."
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said earlier: "It was a collision involving a car and child pedestrian on Keighley Road, Denholme.
"The child suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital.
"Traffic was turned around and diverted onto Ogden Lane."
