A BRADFORD student’s acting career is going from strength to strength following her appearance in a popular BBC children’s television programme.
Isha Kaur Athwal, 11, features in the CBeebies television programme Biff, Chip and Kipper – which is based on the much-loved books.
Isha – a pupil at Bradford Grammar School who has been acting since she was five – has previously starred in the film The Runaways, has appeared in various adverts and voiced Frankie the Cat in the award-winning Channel 5 animated series Pip and Posy.
Isha, from Idle, said: “My friends know I’ve been involved in lots of different projects and they’re always excited to know where I’ve been when I’m not in school.
“I love my acting and enjoy working with production teams on set. I’d love to do it all the time, but I think I should play it safe with my education too.
“I’d like to be a vet, so maybe I could be a vet on TV!”
Dr Simon Hinchliffe, Headmaster at Bradford Grammar School, said: “We have a long tradition of students leaving the school to forge successful careers in film, theatre, music and the arts.
“We wish Isha every success as she continues on her chosen path - whether as an actor or a TV vet!”
