Police have arrested five men in connection with a stabbing incident in West Yorkshire today. 

West Yorkshire Police was called to an address on North Carr, in the Dalton area of Huddersfield, at about 1.46am on Thursday, April 20. 

The force received a report that a man had suffered serious injuries following a disturbance. 

Emergency services discovered a man in his 20s with serious but not life-threatening injuries, including stab wounds, at the scene. 

He was taken to hospital for treatment and, moments later, four men walked into Huddersfield Royal Infirmary with non life threatening injuries. 

Detectives have linked the two incidents and enquiries remain ongoing. 

A large police scene was put in place in the North Carr and Harpe Inge Road areas.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Police were called to an address on North Carr, Dalton, at about 1.46am this morning ( April 20) to a report a man had suffered serious injuries following a disturbance.

"A number of persons were reported to have fled the scene.

"Emergency services attended and located a man in his 20s who had suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries including stab wounds.  He was taken to hospital for treatment.

"Officers later attended at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary at 1.53am after four men attended there in a vehicle having suffered non life threatening injuries.

"Detectives are linking the two incidents and have arrested five men.

"Enquiries remain ongoing into the circumstances of what took place today by detectives and scenes remain in place in the North Carr and Harpe Inge Road areas.
