A YOUNG TV soap star made an appearance at a Bradford shop to get suited and booted.
Jude Riordan, who plays Sam Blakeman, 11, in ITV1’s Coronation Street, paid a visit to Bradford tailoring firm, IK Collections, on Westgate.
The youngster’s character first made his appearance in the long-running soap in 2020 and is the son of characters Nick Tilsley and Natasha Blakemore, who was played by Bradford-born actor Rachel Leskovac until her character was killed off in 2021.
During his visit to IK Collections with his parents, Jude was measured for a new suit by shop owner Imran Khan. Jude chose a suit featuring a handmade blazer and a bowtie. He is planning to wear the new suit at a future awards ceremony.
Mr Khan said: “He was really nice. I’m looking forward to getting this suit completed.
“Jude said Bradford is a really nice place. He is coming back to the shop to get a final fitting.”
Jude becomes the latest high-profile name to have a suit made by IK Collections, following the likes of Captain Sir Tom Moore, former Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn and Dancing On Ice judge Christopher Dean.
Bradford City manager Mark Hughes, and fellow Bantams club officials, are also having suits made by the firm.
