A LONG standing Ilkley business has permanently closed it doors.

Olicana Stationery and Print at 1 Victorian Mews, South Hawksworth Street, Ilkley, suddenly closed down earlier this month.

Former customer Mike Ridgeway contacted the T&A's sister paper, the Ilkley Gazette, to report the closure.

He said: "This is a pity as it was a business operating as a stationery and office services supplier for school equipment and to a large number of businesses in the town.

"I used it a lot for my business and the staff were always very helpful and efficient. The closing of Olicana Stationers will be a great loss to Ilkley and I wish the staff well for their future."

The business had been in the town for over 20 years and provided services such as school essentials, business stationery, greeting cards and wrapping, printing, photocopying, scanning, lamination, binding, typing, gifts, children’s crafts and brands including Lamy, Stabilo, Parker and Letts.

In a message on the social media platform Twitter the business said: "Sadly we are now permanently closed for business."
