TWO blocks of garages that are “used by various persons for anti-social behaviour” are to be demolished.
Social housing provider Incommunities has applied for permission to flatten the garages off Prospect Walk, a residential area of Windhill.
The company describes the garages as “unused and unusable.”
The application, submitted to Bradford Council, says the structures will be demolished in June, and the land grassed over.
In total nine garages would be flattened, although an attached electricity sub station would remain in place.
The application says: “The garages are unused and unusable, are beyond economic repair and they and the vicinity are increasingly used by various persons for anti-social behaviour.
“The demolition is to the benefit of the community generally.”
A decision on the application is expected next month.
