A PERSON has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a collision on a major West Yorkshire road this morning.
Police were called to Dewsbury Road in Leeds shortly before 6am after a collision between a car and a pedestrian.
The road has been closed, including the exit slip road at J3 of the M621.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson told the Telegraph & Argus: "Police were called at 5.43am this morning to a report of a serious injury collision involving a car and a pedestrian on Dewsbury Road, Leeds.
"One person has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following the collision."
