MYSTERY surrounds an emergency services presence outside a block of Bradford city centre flats this evening.
Two fire engines and several firefighters were spotted outside the City Exchange apartments on Nelson Street at around 6pm.
One person told the T&A said there was "at least 30 emergency workers by/in the entrance" at around 6.40pm.
West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service told the Telegraph & Argus there is no ongoing incident and crews are there for fire protection purposes.
Firefighters from Bradford and Stanningley stations have been at the scene since 4pm this afternoon.
A source told the T&A that the building was the scene of a break-in through the basement last night.
They claimed that all the electrical wires were cut meaning the power and water supply was halted.
It's understood tenants were evacuated from the premises and have been rehoused due to fire safety concerns as a result of the break-in.
The Telegraph & Argus has been unable to verify these reports this evening.
West Yorkshire Police and property managers MLM have been approached for a comment.
