A FESTIVAL supporting original bands and keeping the local music scene alive is taking place in Shipley.

Neon Zebra Festival has "an amazing lineup of bands from Manchester, Leeds, Huddersfield, Bradford, Wakefield and Keighley," says organiser Ben Snowden of Mirror Man Presents.

"This festival is for everyone to celebrate original music and to have a great time There’s something for every music fan, be it Afrobeat, post-rock, funk, grunge, noise, punk, Indie, alt country, jazz freakout, reggae and metal. Where else are you going to see 11 fantastic bands for a tenner."

The festival is on Saturday May 27 from 2pm at Groove Pad Bar & Kitchen, 48 Saltaire Road, Shipley, BD18 3HN
