A MAJOR route towards Bradford was closed this morning, causing heavy traffic in the area as emergency services dealt with an incident.
The T&A's traffic partner reported that the A647 Stanningley Bypass Westbound exit slip road was closed due to a jackknifed lorry at Swinnow Road.
Inrix said: "A647 Stanningley Bypass Westbound exit slip road closed, heavy traffic due to jackknifed lorry at Swinnow Road. Emergency services are currently in attendance."
First Bus services 4 and 4F were diverted via Pudsey Road, Hough Tree Road, Swinnow Lane, Swinnow Road.

Due to the top of Swinnow Rd being blocked towards Pudsey, services are diverting as follows:
Pudsey Rd, Hough Tree Rd, Swinnow Ln, Swinnow Rd.

The route has since reopened.
West Yorkshire Police has been contacted for further details.
