The plot sees Edith’s grieving father Sir Anthony Owusu demand an inquiry into Lucinda’s actions on the night of her death.
ITV has released a one-minute-long trailer for the new five-part drama series featuring scenes from the programme.
It includes scenes from the accident and emergency department at a hospital and centres on the main character, Dr Edwards’, and the treatment of a patient who loses their life. This is mixed with scenes from an investigation into the patient’s death.
During the dramatic trailer, a woman is heard saying ‘Lucinda, you are to blame for the situation you find yourself in’. Lucinda says; ‘This is not something I would do’.
The trailer ends with the phrase ‘Everyone has a breaking point’ appearing on-screen.
This first look follows a medical syringe and bottle of tablets being crushed, with a ‘Malpractice – Coming Soon’ teaser tagline.
