LOCAL BRADFORD SCHOOL MAKES WAY TO BORN IN BRADFORD AIR POLLUTION FINALS!
A local school in Bradford; Dixons Music Primary have made their way to Born in Bradford Air Pollution finals!
Since 23rd January 2023 some of the school students in Year 6 have been participating in an exciting after-school club working alongside with; Born in Bradford, Bradford Council and Sheffield University to create an original idea to help stop air pollution in Bradford. The main company that has approved the idea were IVE and they were impressed!
There were two teams only ONE to win. On 20th March 2023 IVE judges, judged both ideas which were: 1: Create a sensor in traffic lights to record air pollution, 2: Create a drone which can suck bad air pollution in and bad air pollution will be given to scientists so they can help record information on type of air pollution collected (winning team).
The winning team (2) will be presenting the finals on 15 June 2023 in Bradford City Hall.
A contestant of the winning team Mr Muhamad - Sulaiman said: “I am so happy that my team has won, and I hope this idea helps to tackle air pollution in Bradford.
He added: “I would also like to congratulate my team members that I was working alongside after all the hard work we have ALL put in!
The judges were impressed, and they ALL said: “We hope this idea helps to tackle air pollution in Bradford. “We hope you ALL do well.
