Drivers have been warned to expect delays after a crash along a major route. 

There were reports if two miles of traffic building throughout Stanningley and Pudsey following the incident on Stanningley Bypass.

First West Yorkshire has warned its X6 service will be affected by the crash and temporarily divert via Stanningley Road and Town Street. 

A spokesperson for First said: "We apologise for any inconvenience caused."

One driver, who was heading through Pudsey, said: "It's gridlock in Pudsey."

Another motorist said: "There's traffic and one lane in use on the bypass."
