PEOPLE have spoken of their disappointment following the news that a much-loved Bradford pub is to close.
Bosses at The Black Swan, on Frizinghall Road, said it is with "deep regret" they will be shutting on Sunday, April 2.
Peter Down, pubs officer for the Bradford branch of the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA), was sad to hear the news.
"It is disappointing to see this," Mr Down said.
"It was the last pub in the Heaton/Frizinghall area, now there is nothing between Bradford and Shipley.
"It has unfortunately been the perfect storm for pubs in recent months with the energy bill relief stopping, the cost of living crisis and the limited labour."
Many people got in touch with the T&A recalling memories of the pub, known amongst locals as 'The Mucky Duck'.
"So sad. I used to go there for some amazing nights outs," said Suzanne Griffiths.
Gary Knights added: "No pubs left in Frizinghall and Heaton anymore sadly. It used to be the place to be that area in the nineties."
David Meredith said: "The street where I was born and grew up 75 years ago. I can't imagine The Mucky Duck not existing. A really sad day."
"I had some lovely times there in the early eighties," Adam Walker added.
