A SPONSORSHIP deal has been agreed to support the Super Soapbox Challenge which returns to Bradford City Centre next month.
Bradford Theatres is partnering with Bradford BID, which organises the wacky event that is due to take place on Sunday, April 30.
Bradford Theatres will also present the Choice Award cup and medals, accompanied by ten tickets to one of Bradford Theatre’s blockbuster shows, to the team that wins this category.
Jonny Noble, Bradford BID Manager, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Bradford Theatres on board as a partner in this fantastic event. Around 17,000 people enjoyed this event last year and, based on the evaluation of previous events like this staged elsewhere, we expect this to rise to 20,000.”
Bradford Theatres includes four venues - the Alhambra Theatre, St George's Hall, The Studio and King's Hall and Winter Garden in Ilkley.
Adam Renton, general manager at Bradford Theatres added: “Partnering Bradford BID to support this fun-packed, family day in the very heart of our city is a great opportunity to showcase our upcoming, top-quality shows.”
Last year’s races saw 23 teams take part, but this year there are already 30 teams signed up.
The races begin at 11am and finish at around 5pm when the prize-giving takes place, followed by live music.
