Those in attendance at the Bradford rally waved placards with slogans including 'you can't put students first if you put teachers last!'.
Chants of 'no ifs, no buts, no education cuts' also rang out around the city centre.
- Speaking at a rally in London yesterday, Dr Mary Bousted, joint general secretary of the National Education Union, said she was “incredibly disappointed” with the Education Secretary Gillian Keegan, accusing her of “wasting” time by insisting negotiations will only be held if industrial action is called off.
“Do the right thing, open the door and let’s start to negotiate,” she added.
