BRADFORD is braced for snow later this week as temperatures are set to plunge.
The district is predicted to see plummeting temperatures over the next few days, according to the Met Office.
A spell of light snow showers is forecast for this Thursday (March 9), particularly between 9am and 3pm. After a dry afternoon, sleet showers will return from 9pm on Thursday.
Bradford is part of a wider yellow warning for heavy snow for large parts of the UK for this Thursday. The yellow warning runs from 3am on Thursday, March 9 to 6pm on Friday, March 10. The area covered by the warning includes northern England and the Midlands and Scotland.
This is the only period of snow showers the Met Office is forecasting for Bradford this week.
Meanwhile, today (Monday) will be a mostly dry day as temperatures reach a maximum of 7C, but the mercury plunges to -2 overnight tonight.
Tomorrow will be a sunny and dry day as temperatures only reach a high of 4C, plunging to -6C overnight in Bradford.
Wednesday will be a cloudy day as temperatures reach 4C, before this Thursday’s light snow showers. Friday will be a cloudy day with temperatures reaching a maximum of 6C.
