A MAN has been jailed for driving in Bradford city centre while banned from getting behind the wheel.
Thomas Antony Davis, 32, was caught on Ivegate in Bradford on May 21, 2022, driving a Seat Leon.
At the time he was already disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence.
After initially pleading not guilty, Davis changed his plea and admitted driving while disqualified at a court hearing.
He appeared at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court on February 22, and was jailed for a total of 22 weeks.
Davis, of Oakbank Grove, Keighley, was also further banned from driving for 32 months and must pay £154 to the courts in a surcharge to fund victim services.
Court documents show magistrates reached the sentence they did because the offence was considered to be so serious.
