AN international best-selling author is coming to Haworth to launch the paperback version of her multi-award-winning novel Lessons in Chemistry.
California-born Bonnie Garmus will be at the Wave of Nostalgia independent bookshop, in Main Street, on Thursday, March 9, for the 11am event.
She will read from the book, answer questions and sign copies.
Lessons in Chemistry focuses on women’s lives and careers, and the struggle for empowerment, in the late 1950s and early 60s.
It follows the story of Elizabeth Zott, a brilliant chemist forced to become a TV chef when she finds herself a young, single mother.
Wave of Nostalgia owner Diane Park says: "Lessons in Chemistry has been a firm favourite with our customers. Bonnie herself is an inspiration.
"She had her own fight to get this debut novel published; it is now an international best seller and will soon be a star-studded series on Apple TV+."
