MARIE Curie’s Great Daffodil Walk returns to the Bradford area next month after being held ‘virtually’ for the past three years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Walkers are being urged to put their best foot forward in support of the Bradford hospice for the five-mile route around Myrtle Park Bingley and the St Ives Estate, Harden, which will take place on Sunday, March 26.
The event, which is organised by the Bradford Hospice Fundraising Group, has raised more than £25,000 for the charity to date.
The event was cancelled during the pandemic, and people were instead invited to walk five miles on their own on behalf of the charity.
The walk starts from 9.30am to 10am, with participants asked to arrive at registration from 9.15am. Registration is £5 per person.
Dave Harvey, Chairman of the Group, said, “It’s great to be able to have a big event again instead of the virtual walks which we have run for the last three years.”
The walk starts from Tarquin’s Tearooms in Myrtle Park, Bingley, and walkers asked to ensure that they wear suitable clothing and walking boots.
