A MAJOR road heading towards Bradford has been closed due to Yorkshire Water repairs.
Bradford Road, in Oakenshaw, will be closed today due to work being carried out.
The road is well-used and the closure is causing traffic disruption, forcing drivers to find alternative routes.
A number of vehicles could be seen turning round and trying to find alternative routes.
Yorkshire Water said the repairs are essential and apologised for any noise disruption.
Work will be completed by February 28.
Signs at Odsal Top roundabout and near Low Moor rail station warn motorists of the road closure further along.
The signs point out that businesses in Oakenshaw are open as normal.
The T&A has contacted Yorkshire Water for further information.
