Solenis, a chemical manufacturing company based on Cleckheaton Road, plans to demolish an existing building on the site to replace it with a more modern energy building, which will include a number of new flue stacks.

An application submitted to Bradford Council says: “New gas fired boilers will be used to generate steam to drive turbines which will be installed along with other associated equipment providing heat recovery and steam generation.
“Dispersion modelling reports have been carried out to ensure environmental regulations are adhered to.”
A decision on the application is expected in April.
