PLANS for a new café bar in Brighouse have been given the go-ahead.
The move will see a former travel agents shop in the town being converted, and run as a café in the daytime and a bar in the evenings.
On Commercial Street, the corner unit has been empty and a change of use application to Calderdale Council has now been approved.
The café will sell cakes and sandwiches as well as hot and cold drinks in the daytime.
In the evening it will operate as a licensed bar.
There will be new signage and redecoration of the building, but no other changes to the exterior.
Its hours of operation will be restricted to 9am to 11pm, Monday to Saturday, and 11am to 11pm on Sundays or bank holidays.
