A SILSDEN woman celebrated her 100th birthday in style.
Annie Hughes, the youngest and only surviving sibling of seven, marked becoming a centenarian with two parties.
And she received more than 70 birthday cards, including one from King Charles III.
“I had a wonderful day,” says Annie, who lives at the Brierdene Incommunities housing scheme in Silsden.
“I feel so happy to have been able to celebrate with my family and friends.
“I got lots of lovely flowers and chocolates, and more than 70 cards.
“My visitors really wanted to see my card from the King. I’m so pleased to have got it!”
Deborah Evans, retirement housing officer with Incommunities, says: “Annie is amazing and always has a smile on her face.
“It was lovely to see her on her birthday, with her family around her and having lots of photos taken!”
