LATEST NEWS: Youths referred to support agencies after Richard Dunn Sports Centre incident
There is a large police presence outside Richard Dunn Sports Centre this evening.
West Yorkshire Police was called to a report of intruders inside the derelict building at 5.30pm on Monday (February 20).
Several officers as well as five police vehicles can be seen along part of Rooley Avenue.
A number of people have since been arrested, a police spokesperson confirmed.
One local told the Telegraph & Argus: "There seems to be a police presence at or around the Richard Dunn Centre, opposite the new estate named after speedway legends."

Police statement in full
In a statement, a spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "West Yorkshire Police received a report at 5.30pm today (Monday, 20 February) of intruders in the Richard Dunn Sports Centre building on Rooley Avenue. A number of people have been arrested."
