Animal crossing-why you should start playing.
It's no secret that the pandemic put a hold on everybody's lives and hobbies, but from that we gained family time and cosy gaming. In lockdown, I myself turned to the comfort of my Nintendo Switch to relieve my boredom and took up Animal Crossing. The game features a deserted island getaway that your character embarks upon. From there, you will pitch your tent and meet Tom Nook and your first fellow residents. The island really is a blank canvas for you to decorate. As you progress, you can pay off house loans to upgrade your tent to a house with multiple rooms and floors with custom furniture.
Once you an your fellow campers have pitched your tents, you can explore a fruitful island scattered with flowers and collect materials with your tools for DIY recipes to decorate your house and island with trinkets.Once fully established, you will notice that you will start to complete activities that earn you Nook Miles such as weeding and fishing. You can trade these miles for tickets to fly to mystery islands to collect more fruit and get more residents.
The game offers plenty of cool collectibles such as gyroids(small ornament’s that dance) ,clothes for your character and crops. If you begin to dig up fossils, eventually you will be able to open a museum with Blathers the knowledgeable owl to display these artefacts alongside art, bugs and fish you catch.
There really are no limits- from island adornments and wildlife to ancient relics and funky residents. The island is your oyster, so go explore!
