A MAN has been fined for speeding on a major Bradford district road.
Daniel Sawaiz, 26, of Harrogate Road, Bradford, faced one charge of exceeding 50mph speed limit in contravention of a local traffic order – manned equipment.
He was clocked speeding at 79mph in a 50mph zone of Sir Fred Hoyle Way, also known as Bingley Bypass, on September 29, 2022.
Sawaiz was handed six driving licence points, fined £660 and ordered to pay £90 costs and a £264 victim surcharge for the offence. A collection order was made by the court at the sentencing hearing.
The offence was contrary to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.
Sawaiz was sentenced at a single justice procedure hearing held on January 31, 2023.
