HERE'S every burglary and robbery across the Bradford district in 2022.

This crime map has been compiled by the Telegraph & Argus, using information from the data.police.uk website.

It shows every burglary and robbery offence reported to West Yorkshire Police that has taken place in the Bradford policing district throughout the whole of 2022.

You can browse through the map or search for a street name or postcode, to see the level of this type of crime on every road in the whole of the Bradford district.

There were more than 3,700 burglaries and robberies in Bradford in 2022, with 3,008 burglaries and 709 robbery crimes taking place.

Of these, no suspect was able to be identified in just over 68 per cent of cases, while around 10 per cent are still under investigation.

Around five per cent of these reported crimes have made it to the courts so far.

Examples include a case where a violent street robber, who struck again in Bradford city centre in May 2022, has recently been sentenced to four and a half years in prison.

Sean Walker pursued a woman who was walking with her daughter, ran up and grabbed her bag, leaving the victim bruised and the child distraught.

Furthermore, a drug addict who targeted an elderly man in Keighley to steal his television was jailed for more than three years.

Neil Wong, a prolific thief, stole the pensioner’s £300 TV and £40 of scratch cards from next to his bed late at night in September 2022.

He initially asked to borrow the TV, returning later that same evening to steal it and the winning scratch cards.

In total, there were just over 82,800 recorded crimes across Bradford in 2022.

This can be broken down as follows:

Violence and sexual offences (36098); public order (10577); criminal damage and arson (7266); anti-social behaviour (7256); other theft (5018); vehicle crime (3978); shoplifting (3072); burglary (3008); drugs (2322); other crime (1916); robbery (709); theft from person (706); possession of weapons (621); and bicycle theft (325).

We will be focusing on other crimes as we compile more 2022 crime maps in the coming weeks.
